Mountaineer Montessori School is seeking contact information for students, parents and teachers who have been a part of the school's community since its founding in 1976.
The all-ages Luminaria Gala on March 28 at the Clay Center will serve as Charleston's first Montessori reunion and honor special West Virginians who are lighting the way for education for the state's children.
The gala will feature entertainment, auctions, special menus, creative activities and dancing for children and adults.
A highlight of the evening will be the Luminaria Program, which will showcase leaders and youth for their efforts on behalf of West Virginia children, and original music and presentations written and performed by Mountaineer Montessori students.
Ron Sowell, a member of the faculty and musical director of Mountain Stage, will serve as master of ceremonies.
Proceeds from the Luminaria Gala will support the Mountaineer Montessori Education for Innovation tuition aid fund and specialty programs. Reservations are $75 for adults, $25 for children 4-18.
Mountaineer Montessori students may attend for $15. A complete sponsorship package is also available. To receive more information on the event and get on the mailing list, MMS alumni and friends should forward contact information to: bgeo...@mountaineermontessori.org.
