Photos: Shaun T leads 'Insanity' workout at UC

CHARLESTON, W.Va. - Fitness trainer Shaun T, known as the developer of the "Insanity" workout program, gave a lecture and hosted a one-hour workout at the University of Charleston Tuesday morning.

Dozens of participants joined in a fitness master class led by instructor Shaun T at the University of Charleston on Tuesday afternoon. Shaun Thompson, better known to his devotees as Shaun T, is the brainchild behind some of the fastest-selling DVD workout programs ever created, including "Hip Hop Abs" and "Shaun T's Insanity Workout."

Workout participants broke a sweat in a class led by fitness guru Shaun T, creator of the "Insanity" DVD workout series. His visit was sponsored by the University of Charleston School of Pharmacy Student Governance Association.

At noon, Shaun T. led a fitness master class in the Eddie King Gym.

Shaun T, or Shaun Thompson, received a bachelor's degree in sports science from Rowan University. After working in the corporate health world after graduation, he branched out into the world of commercial fitness and dance.

He is the brainchild of some of the fastest-selling workout DVD programs ever created, including "Hip Hop Abs," "Shaun T's Insanity Workout," and "The Asylum: Volume I & II."
