Photos: Groups partner to raise funds for child care
The two organizations have partnered to raise funds for emergency child shelters, foster care, adoption, mentoring, early intervention and other family support programs throughout the state. The society assisted nearly 13,000 state children in 2012. About 4,000 are in some type of care outside their homes because of family crises, according to a press release.
