Traffic congestion expected around Clay Center

Charleston police warn of traffic congestion around the Clay Center Friday morning.

Zookeeper and conservationist Jack Hanna will perform kids-only shows at 9:30 and 11:30 a.m. About 90 school buses are expected. The buses will begin unloading children at the Clay Center beginning at 8:30 a.m.

Once the children are unloaded, the buses will then be escorted to a parking area where they will wait for the end of the event. Motorists are advised to avoid the area around the Clay Center if possible, or expect delays while the children are being unloaded and escorted inside the facility.
