Two water main breaks on Charleston's West Side have led to a boil water advisory for about 500 city customers.
West Virginia American Water has issued the boil water advisory for customers along Costello Street, Hillcrest Avenue, Watts Street from the railroad tracks to the top of the hill, Florence Drive, Breezemont Drive, Ella Avenue, Amherst Drive, Patterson Drive, Anaconda Avenue, Grove Street, Branch Street, Rose Court, Vincent Street, Butler Street, Mariana Street, Daugherty Street and Williams Street.
The advisory includes Watts Elementary.
Crews with West Virginia American Water are working on the issue. Customers may experience low water pressure or an interruption of service while repairs are made.
