Police seek fourth robbery suspect
CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Charleston police officers are still searching for a suspect that could be involved in a brutal mugging downtown, and they are asking for the public's help.
Police have already arrested three University of Charleston basketball players on charges of first-degree robbery after they allegedly attacked Andrew Rude, 58, and Patrick Morrison, 35, both of Charleston, on the 600 block of Virginia Street East about 2:40 a.m. Sunday.
They are also "persons of interest" in at least two other muggings that have taken place on or near Virginia Street East downtown since April 14.
Officers have released a picture of the fourth suspect in the case and are asking anyone who may have information as to his identity to call the Criminal Investigation Division at 304-348-6480.
Officers do not believe the fourth suspect is a student at UC. They believe he is a light-skinned black man who goes by the street name T.C., according to a press release from Charleston police.
His first name may be Timothy, officers said.
Police have already arrested Terrell Lipkins, 20, and Robbie Dreher and Quincy Washington, both 22, in the case.
