New this year are shopping bags with the yard sale logo on them, also available for purchase at the Board of Education lot.
"And we're selling East End Yard Sale T-shirts," Cavender said, a decision that came after residents and shoppers requested them.
"We've got them coming in all different colors and sizes. It's a limited run, so get them while they're hot," Cavender added.
Saturday's weather forecast calls for a chance of scattered thunderstorms, but Cavender notes there's been only one really rainy yard sale day in its history and though it was before his time, he's been told it didn't keep shoppers away.
As for Cavender, there's no bargain hunting for him.
"This is my sixth year of the yard sale and I've not been able to actually participate -- I'll be working at the booth at the Board of Education lot," he said.
