Rand man sentenced for having pills, guns and cash
A Kanawha County man who possessed hundreds of prescription pills, several firearms and cash inside his Rand residence was sentenced to five years in federal prison.
Terrico L. Straughter, 23, pleaded guilty in March to possession with intent to distribute oxycodone.
In June 2012, members of the Metropolitan Drug Enforcement Network Team executed a search warrant and found nearly 1,000 oxycodone pills, 43 grams of crack cocaine, five firearms including a loaded pistol and an AR-15 assault rifle.
Police also found hydrocodone pills, marijuana and close to $13,000 in cash.
