CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- A Kanawha County man faces up to 10 years in prison after pleading no contest to having a deadly weapon on school property.
Russell E. Elswick is scheduled to be sentenced in September.
WCHS-TV reports that the 52-year-old Clendenin man entered his plea Monday in Kanawha County Circuit Court. A terroristic threat charge was dropped.
Kanawha County sheriff's deputies arrested Elswick on Nov. 14, 2012, at Herbert Hoover High School after employees reported seeing a man brandishing a shotgun.
