Two arrested in connection with petit larceny thefts in St. Albans
A man and woman have been arrested on a charge of petit larceny in connection with thefts in the St. Albans area, said Capt. James P. Agee of the St. Albans Police Department.
Just before 5 p.m. Sunday police received a report regarding a stolen ladder on Lakeview Drive in St. Albans. The victim witnessed the suspects leaving in a vehicle described as a dark colored Chevrolet Trailblazer with a "lost tag" notice on the rear. Officers stopped the vehicle on Pennsylvania near Ninth Avenue.
The occupants were arrested and charged with petit larceny. They are Raymond Gartin, 31, and Alecia Sanders, 27, both of St. Albans. The vehicle is similar to one identified by victims of other thefts in the St. Albans area during the summer, Agee said.
