CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Families of West Virginia organ donors will be honored at a memorial ceremony in Charleston.
The event sponsored by the Center for Organ Recovery and Education is set for Sunday afternoon at the Clay Center for the Arts and Sciences. It will include remarks from a donor family, a transplant recipient and others touched by organ donation.
The center is one of 58 federally designed not-for-profit organ procurement organizations in the United States. It is based in Pittsburgh and has an office in Charleston.
