Water damages luggage carousel at Yeager Airport
CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- The luggage carousel at Charleston's Yeager Airport has sustained water damage after a sprinkler system went off.
Media outlets report the sprinkler was triggered in the airport's baggage claim area Tuesday night.
The reason for the sprinkler's activation wasn't known. A call to the airport director's office wasn't immediately returned Wednesday.
No flights were delayed. Airport officials say baggage handlers will carry luggage to passengers at the front of the airport until repairs are made to the carousel.
