MONTGOMERY, W.Va. -- West Virginia Tech University's top administrator highlighted the school's growth in her annual "State of Tech" address.
CEO Carolyn Long said Friday that fall enrollment is up more than 10 percent to 1,222, with students from 28 states and 23 nations. She said residence halls are at 92 percent capacity. The dining hall is so busy that an additional "grab and go" eatery is being established in the Engineering Building.
Long also emphasized the university's focus on student retention, noting that more than 1,000 hours of tutoring has been conducted this semester at the new Student Success Center.
