Deputies still are investigating a head-on crash in Elkview that killed a pregnant mother of two.
Two vehicles, a 2011 Honda Civic and a 2006 GMC Envoy, collided Saturday night on Frame Road near the Pequonia Drive intersection.
Candy Poling, 28, of Elkview, was driving the Honda, and a person under 18 was driving the SUV, Kanawha Cpl. Brian Humphreys said in a statement. The teen juvenile's name was not being released Monday.
Poling was alone in her vehicle. She was killed in the crash, Humphreys said.
There were two passengers in the SUV, deputies said. The driver and one of the passengers were injured in the crash. They were taken to Charleston Area Medical Center's General Hospital.
"A great number of facts must be learned through evidence collection and examination, and the generation of the report may take a significant amount of time," Humphreys said. "Due to the involvement of a juvenile driver, some information that is normally available for inquiry may be withheld."
Deputies still are investigating the cause and have ordered a reconstruction report, Humphreys said.
