CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- The Kanawha County Solid Waste Authority formally launched its new website this week, which features information on where and how different materials can be recycled.
The site also addresses common questions, misconceptions and myths about recycling; provides tips concerning waste reduction such as how to reuse common items, where to donate gently used materials; and idea on how to be more environmentally conscious.
Visitors can view the authority's different programs and initiatives and register to volunteer for events.
"We feel confident the new site is going to make the process much more convenient for residents and increase their awareness of the many options in the county," said Solid Waste Authority Executive Director James Young.
The website's debut is the latest in the Solid Waste Authority's rebranding efforts, including its "Recycle Smart" campaign.
The website is www.kanawharecycles.org.
