CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- An Elkview man is facing a drug charge after deputies say they found more than 50 grams of marijuana in his possession during a traffic stop.
Deputies said Donald Russell Falls, 35, was speeding and crossing the center line early Sunday morning when he was driving on Frame Road, Cpl. Brian Humphreys said in a release. Falls had defective lights on the back of his car.
Deputies stopped Falls around 1 a.m. and had him perform field sobriety tests after Deputy B.K. Howery smelled alcohol on Falls' breath, Humphreys said.
A small plastic bag of marijuana fell to the ground when Falls got out of his vehicle, officers said. Deputies found six other plastic bags of marijuana in Falls vehicle totaling more than 50 grams, valued at more than $500.
Falls was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver and his vehicle was towed.Falls remains at South Central Regional Jail on $500 bond.
