MOUNT PLEASANT, N.Y. -- A man accused of skinny-dipping in his neighbor's pool in New York City's northern suburbs probably won't be suspended or fired when he goes back to his City Hall job.
But a spokesman for the mayor of Yonkers says his city is considering disciplinary action against Thomas Weibrecht based on the outcome of the criminal case against him.
A witness reported seeing the 52-year-old Weibrecht taking a nude dip in Mount Pleasant on Saturday while on vacation from his $119,000-a-year Department of Finance job. Police say Weibrecht had a case of beer with him.
Weibrecht has been charged with trespassing and exposing himself. He's free on $1,000 bail. He's due in Town Court on Thursday.
A woman answering a telephone listed under Weibrecht's name won't talk about the case.
