Dog swim, softball game to raise money for shelter
Two events are coming up to raise money for the Putnam Animal Relief Fund to build a new shelter in Putnam County.
The first is a dog swim from 6 to 8 p.m. Labor Day at Valley Park Wave Pool. Donations will be accepted at the door toward building new animal shelter
The second is a softball game at 6 p.m. Sept. 23, Valley Park, Hurricane. It will pit the Putnam Animal Relief Center Pounders against the AEP John Amos Plant Scrubbers. The teams pay to play, and donations will be accepted from spectators.
