FireSide Grille has two big events coming up this month.
The first is a an event to raise money and awareness for the Huntington Area Food Bank, which helps feed the hungry in 17 counties in West Virginia, Ohio and Kentucky.
The benefit will begin at 7 p.m. on Feb. 21, with music by the Bob Thompson Unit.
Donations to the food bank will be accepted at door in lieu of a cover, and there will be a special menu for the event. Half of all food purchases from the event will go to the food bank.
There will also be a silent auction for a basketball signed by Bob Huggins, along with many different items from WVU and MU athletic programs and from local vendors.
On Feb. 23, FireSide Grille will celebrate its second anniversary. Festivities will kick off at 6 p.m. and include the following:
-- Kids Cupcake Eating Contest with two age divisions. Winners receive free cupcakes for a year and a trophy.
-- Nacho Challenge - the first to finish a large order of FireSides Kick Azz Nachos will receive a trophy, and a gift card to FireSide
-- Insane Wing Challenge - first to finish a plate of FireSides Insane wings seasoned w/ Ghost Chiles. Winner will recieve a trophy and a gift card to FireSide.
All winners will receive FireSide Grille T-shirts.
There will also be a raffle with many prizes from our vendors, with the Grand Prize of a two-night stay, trail tickets and use of equipment and gear at Hatfield & McCoy Trail System.
Live music will start at 8:30 p.m. with "The Lost Cause."
