Putnam Aging is distributing clean drinking water to seniors and the community through its nutrition program, said Luann Willis, the organization's assistant nutrition director.
The John Henson Center in Hurricane began offering clean drinking water at noon Friday to anyone bringing a container to the site.
Through the nutrition program, 20 bottles of water is being delivered to each homebound patient along with standard meals. Water is also being distributed to seniors eating at nutrition sites. More than 1,600 bottles of water have been sent to the nutrition sites.
A nonprofit serving central West Virginia, Putnam Aging has been providing a variety of services to seniors and the community through their nutrition and in-home programs for over 35 years.
