Mine rescue changed businessman’s mind about politics
Republican gubernatorial candidate Bill Maloney recounted the start of his successful business and decision to move into the political realm in a recent interview.
Maloney and his wife, Sharon, recently discussed the campaign with a reporter at Ruby and Ketchy's Restaurant, a family-owned diner near their home in Cheat Lake.
Although Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin's campaign has pointed out repeatedly that Bill Maloney was born in New York, Sharon Maloney said they are West Virginians at heart. "Where did we choose to live and where did we choose to stay?" she said.
