HUNTINGTON, W.Va. -- Cabell County Delegate Kevin Craig will not run for re-election in the West Virginia Legislature next year.
The Herald-Dispatch reports (http://bit.ly/17lyXRZ) that the 45-year-old Democrat says he wants to devote more time to his family as his children prepare to enter middle school and high school.
Craig represents the 16th District, which includes northern and eastern Cabell County and northern Lincoln County.
He was first elected to the House of Delegates in 2000 and has since been re-elected to six consecutive terms.
Craig is vice president of business development for Natural Resource Partners in Huntington.
He had briefly considered a run for state Senate next year but now says he will not be on any election ballot in 2014.
