State seeks vendor to run Capitol food court ... again
While usually bustling during legislative sessions, the Capitol Food Court is dramatically quieter during the other 9 months of the year. The hot plate area is typically used to feature a prepared lunch special of the day, but that option has been eliminated now because there aren't enough lunch hour customers.
Two customers wait on a cook at the grill and pizza area of the food court. The area is one of three separate food service stations designed to increase the variety of options for customers, but also means operators have to beef up staffing to run each station.
