State Senate secretary Wanda Casto, 69, walks away with the 2013 Walking Works Capitol Challenge award. Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin and Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield President Fred Earley presented her with the award Thursday. The four-week walking challenge was between House of Delegates staff, Senate staff and the Governor's Office. Casto was excited that her team won this year, saying the Senate hadn't won the award in her 23 years on the job. Behind her is Brad Eldred, who won an individual award for highest stepper.

Senate secretary Wanda Casto. 69, walks away with the 2013 Walking Works Capitol Challenge which she recieved from governor Earl Ray Tomblin and Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield West Virginia president Fred Earley. The four-week walking competition was between the members and staff of the West Virginia House of Delegates, State Senate and Governor’s Office. Casto was really excited about getting the award for her team because in the 23 years on the job this was the first time she remembers the Senate winning the award.
