CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - The Girl Scouts is closing two camps in West Virginia and plans to sell them next year.
The Girl Scouts of Black Diamond Council says closing Camp Sandy Bend in Elizabeth and Camp Mamie Flynn in Logan doesn't reflect declining finances or membership.
The council says it wants to focus on other camps in Milton and Wheeling. It also hopes to develop an urban camp in Charleston.
The Black Diamond Council serves almost 20,000 girls in West Virginia, Virginia, Ohio and Maryland.
