POINT PLEASANT, W.Va. (AP) - A Point Pleasant man is a semifinalist in the popular TV talent show "American Idol."
Media reports say Chase Likens was "just awestruck" when he made the cut this week, becoming one of the final 10 semifinalists.
The 21-year-old Marshall University junior auditioned in Pittsburgh, singing Lady Antebellum's "Love Don't Live Here."
Likens is no stranger to "American Idol." He auditioned in Nashville last year, but he didn't make the final cut.
Likens is a theatre performance major. He began singing when he was 5 and performed at his elementary school talent show.
Likens will perform in the live male semifinal round at 8 p.m. Tuesday on Fox.
