Clock ticking for W.Va. nonprofit disaster loans
CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Private nonprofits in three counties have less than a month to apply for federal disaster loans to recover from severe weather in March.
The deadline to apply for economic injury disaster loans is Dec. 24.
The U.S. Small Business Administration said Monday it's making the loans available in Lincoln, Logan and Mingo counties to homeless shelters, libraries and other private nonprofits that don't critical services. Loans of up $2 million are available.
Severe storms in March caused flooding, mudslides and landslides in the three counties.
