FRENCH CREEK, W.Va. -- A French Creek woman and her grandson are reviving the Parents of Murdered Children's chapter in north-central West Virginia.
Betty Sargent tells media outlets that her daughter, Sandy, was murdered in 1991. She wants to help other parents whose children have been slain.
Her daughter's son, Robert Sargent, is a co-leader of the group. He says there's never closure but the group can provide support.
The group will hold its first meeting on at 7 p.m. on Jan. 7 at Chapel Hill Methodist Church in Buckhannon.
