8 W.Va. libraries receive grants for projects

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Construction and renovation projects at eight public libraries in West Virginia are receiving state funding.

The West Virginia Library Commission announced the supplemental grants on Monday.

Shepherdstown Public Library received the largest grant, $25,000.

The Durbin branch of Pocahontas County Free Libraries and Valley Head Library each received a $20,000 grant.

Belington Public Library, Keyser-Mineral County Public Library and Mountaintop Public Library in Tucker County each received a $10,000 grant.

The commission also awarded at $19,663 grant to Cabell County Public Library and a $20,165 grant to Pleasants County Public Library.
