CLARKSBURG, W.Va. -- More than 100 veterans are on a state-run nursing home's waiting list.
Administrator Dr. Kevin Crickard tells The Exponent-Telegram (http://bit.ly/Zqy1GX ) that 166 veterans are waiting for admission to the West Virginia Veterans Nursing Facility in Clarksburg.
The 120-bed Clarksburg facility began operation in 2007.
Mike Lyons with the West Virginia Department of Veterans Assistance says the Legislature is looking at the possibility of building another state-run nursing home in southern West Virginia.
Lyons says if a veteran is in dire need, their name can be moved up the waiting list.
