HUNTINGTON, W.Va. -- Sutton Lake will undergo a cleanup on May 4.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is seeking volunteers for the spring event, which will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. A cookout will be held afterward, and the first 200 registered participants will receive T-shirts.
Bags, gloves, grabbers and other supplies will be provided.
More than 8 tons of trash was removed during two previous cleanups at Sutton Lake, including more than 400 tires, several mattresses, refrigerators and other appliances.
