W.Va. estate going on auction block
HEDGESVILLE, W.Va. — A 54-acre estate in Hedgesville that includes a 13,000-square foot home built in the 1850s is being auctioned off.
Woltz & Associates of Roanoke, Va., says it will conduct the auction on June 14 at Quail Creek Farm.
The home has 10 bedrooms, 11 full baths, 10 working fireplaces, a sauna, three kitchens and an elevator.
The estate also includes horse stables and riding areas, an in-ground pool, guest cottages and access to the Potomac River. A stone pool house has two bedrooms and a sauna.
The minimum bid is $995,000. Interested buyers can previous the property on June 1 and June 8, along with the day of the auction.
