DAVIS, W.Va. -- A shooting facility for clay targets is opening at Canaan Valley Resort State Park.
A ribbon cutting for the facility is set for Friday at the Tucker County resort. It is scheduled to open to the public May 25.
The facility includes five stands and a clay-target field. Shotguns are used to fire five rounds from each shooting position. Clay targets can be launched at a variety of angles and heights.
Users must be at least 16 years old to participate and no hunting license is required. All shooting will be done under the watch of a range supervisor.
The cost is $25, or $10 for those who bring their own firearm and shells.
