HUNTINGTON, W.Va. -- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will no longer charge a fee for the use of the boat ramp at R.D. Bailey Lake.
The Corps didn't give a reason for the move in a news release Wednesday. It says camping and visitor fees at the Guyandotte Campground and all reservation fees for group picnic shelters on the lake still apply.
Annual day use passes will continue to be honored at other lakes nationwide where the Corps charges fees for the use of boat ramps and beaches.
R.D. Bailey Lake is located on the Guyandotte River in Wyoming and Mingo counties, about 3 miles east of the town of Justice.
