CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - A wastewater treatment plant in Moorefield is the final project to receive financing from a decade-old state grant program.
The Charleston Gazette (http://bit.ly/19UnlJR ) reports that the West Virginia Economic Development Authority approved a $65 million bond resolution on Wednesday to complete the plant.
The plant is one of 47 projects in 27 counties that were awarded funding from the economic development grant program in 2004. The grants were funded by a nearly $250 million bond sale.
Authority executive director David Warner says the Moorefield project had several issues regarding financing, permits and delays. A majority of the other projects have been completed for years.
