MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) - Donors gave more than $99 million in cash and in-kind gifts to the West Virginia University Foundation during the 2013 fiscal year
The foundation's goal was $80 million.
The foundation says it received about 35,000 gifts from more than 20,000 donors. The donations included an in-kind software gift worth nearly $15 million from Landmark to the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences.
The fiscal year ended June 30.
Foundation president and CEO Wayne King says in a news release that the level of giving is remarkable, given the economy's instability over the past few years.
