Old Bramwell school transformed into ATV lodge

BRAMWELL, W.Va. -- An old school in Bramwell has been transformed into a lodge for all-terrain vehicle riders.

Bramwell Mayor Louise Stoker says the new lodge is having a soft opening this week with 10 available rooms. The owners want to expand the property to about 20 rooms before they hold a grand opening.

Stoker tells the Bluefield Daily Telegraph (http://bit.ly/136w5Fx ) that Bramwell High School alumni are excited to see their school getting a new life.

The last class of seniors graduated in 1991. The building then served as an elementary school until it closed in 2004.

Julie and Eric Dunham and Bruce and Cristal Hutton bought the property in March. It includes the school building and a former gym and office complex.
