HACKER VALLEY, W.Va. (AP) - Holly River State Park has restored partial electrical service after an underground line failure.
Superstorm Sandy destroyed most of the park's aboveground power lines in October 2012.
Those lines were rebuilt, and the park reopened in April. But then a 2-mile stretch of underground electrical cable died.
All sites in Campground Area 1 were open Friday, and so was the park's restaurant.
Bath house 4 is open, but three campsites in Area 4 are still without power.
It's cold showers only at bath houses 2 and 3, which are still awaiting power.
And there's no power at Campground Areas 2 and 3, although some camp sites are still open.
Holly River State Park is in Webster County. To get the latest on conditions, check the park's website.
