CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- All public schools in Tyler County are closed because of high water on roadways.
County Office of Emergency Management director Tom Cooper says the high water prevented buses from safely traveling in rural areas of the county.
Cooper says no damage has been reported.
Minor flooding also has been reported in Ritchie, Doddridge and Harrison counties following overnight rains. No injuries have been reported.
In Ritchie County, an emergency dispatcher who declined to be identified says flash flooding occurred in the Ellensboro and Pennsboro areas early Tuesday morning but most of the water has receded. A shelter has been set up at the Pennsboro Fire Department.
