CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- There's a potential A $1 million Powerball prize winner in West Virginia.
Lottery Director John Musgrave says someone contacted the Lottery with a ticket bought for the Oct. 2 drawing that matched five numbers but missed the Powerball number.
Musgrave says the ticket will be verified Monday. Pending verification, the winner will be introduced at a 2 p.m. news conference.
Eleven lottery tickets worth at least $1 million have been sold in West Virginia since January 2012.
