CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- West Virginia University's Board of Governors will choose the school's interim president in early December.
The board met Thursday to discuss the future leadership of the university. They spent more than four hours in a closed executive session. When they emerged, board chairman James Dailey said they had "narrowed the list down from some wonderful potential candidates."
"Hopefully we'll be able to take that narrowed list and ... conclude these efforts with respect to an interim president," he said.
The board will meet again at 2 p.m. on Dec. 3.
They are working to decide on a temporary replacement for President Jim Clements, who accepted a job at Clemson University earlier this month.
