Some people want high-speed Internet service to all homes at the taxpayer's expense. This sounds like a socialist program to me. Don't we already have enough socialist programs?
Why can't schools and libraries use satellite Internet service? Dish Network offers it.
Why make taxpayers pay for everyone else's high-speed Internet? Why use schools and libraries as an excuse to get everyone high-speed Internet service.
I look for more people to get off the Internet for one simple reason: It is offered for free at places like McDonald's. Not everyone uses the Internet every day.
People who manage their money are going to use it for free and then give the fast-food restaurants some business at the same time.
That is what I call working together without wasting tax dollars.
