Political playing field is tilted in America
After reading Robert Samuelson's Nov. 21 column, I am proud to hear money isn't everything after all, and we are taking care of people who have needs in our society.
Now that he's shared how our government money is being spent, and that defense spending is coming down, I'll feel a little better about paying my taxes.
However, cynically, I still think that if we follow the money, the influence of corporate money is huge and getting worse, especially when it comes to paying for political campaigns and influencing legislation.
It is not a level playing field in politics in America. Fat cats win elections, and then move on to Washington.
