The state of West Virginia's official nickname is "The Mountain State," which paints a picture of lush forests, crystal-clear streams and roads that blend with the land.
Shouldn't the real state match that picture that its nickname creates?
However, instead of all that, you find rusty cars in the woods, plastic bags caught in the streams and trash following the roads.
Everyone should help by not leaving trash. Just because people know there is trash doesn't mean they help.
Not everybody knows that more volunteers for trash pickup are needed. The fact that more are needed to help should be better advertised.
