- Coattail effect? In order for the coattail effect to work, the candidate has to have a chance to win. Barth has no chance to win.

- Why has the city of St. Albans put up the spy cameras at the downtown intersections?

- Don't punish the kids who vandalized J.E. Robins Elementary School. Punish the parents. Make the parents clean it up and pay for the cost of restoration. I'll bet the kids will think twice before they do it again. The parents should also be charged with child neglect. The kids are being neglected and are bored, so they go for it.

- It is no wonder Hurricane's water bills are so high. I saw two water department employees riding around in a new red Ranger pickup with aluminum wheels and who knows what other creature comforts. The truck had a temporary plate expiring Oct. 8, 2008 which indicates it must be an additional vehicle and not a replacement vehicle.

- The teenagers and their parents should be responsible for footing the bill for the cleanup of Robins Elementary. Perhaps if it cost the parents something, they will keep a better eye on their children.

- The reason Robert Byrd's name is on so many things is because he is the reason we have them.

- The juveniles who did the vandalism at Robins Elementary should be made to clean it up and pay for it. Let's get tough on them for a change instead of just slapping their wrist.

- If the average waiting time at CAMC is one hour, could someone explain to me why I had to wait nine hours?

- The Clay Center is a fabulous place. It has so many interesting things. Children, grownups and people from out of town have enjoyed it so much. It is a wonderful place. The ones who complain are missing out and we are getting all the enjoyment out of it.

Just look at KCEAA we have to vote on a levy to give them money, but yet two of the ambulances bought with the Kanawha county levy are permanetly stationed in Teays Valley! Our fine hard earned dollars at work! It is not at Putnam countys request, they don't want them there stealing their business!

To the person that sat for nine hours in the E.R. Did at anytime during your wait think that maybe you weren't having an emergency?

I would like to thank the Exxon One Stop on Lee St West for the kind and considerate reply after my tire blew out from their Automatic Handsfree Carwash and the pipe that flattened my tire. It goes to show even a handsfree carwash can cause damage and because of that they are not responsible for the damages.
