Your Vents: Friday, Nov. 21, 2008
* If what some are saying is true, and not voting for Obama was racist, then I would guess that the ones that voted for him are racists also. That has to be true. You can't have it both ways. I think the ones crying racism the loudest are probably the biggest racists of all. Nobody but them and the Democrats brought up the race issue. McCain refused to. I voted based on my beliefs. I could care less about race. Anybody that does is just plain stupid.
* Now that the price of gas has gone down, when can we expect the price of everything else to go down since things were raised supposedly over the high cost of fuel? Once again, corporate America cheats the working guy. We are the only ones that suffer. The wealthy don't care. The people on welfare aren't losing any more money, just us.
* Did our government actually think that when they passed NAFTA and all these companies were allowed to lay everyone off that it wasn't going to tank our economy? I have a high school education and I can figure that one out.
* I've got news for the venter that said Rich Rod was out of his league and he needs to come back to a conference where he could win a championship. I'm not a Rich Rod fan but he'll win a championship at Michigan in three to four years. Like him or not, the man's a great coach.
* Thank you, West Virginia, for casting your electoral votes for the best candidate for president.
* I see where Rockefeller said that now we can end the war in Iraq so we can focus our attention on the terrorists that threatened this nation. What in the heck did he think Bush was doing? How stupid can he be?
* Bill Smith needs glasses. Coach Stewart wasn't smiling in the fourth quarter of the Cincinnati game. He was crying.

* I'd rather be a Republican than a cowardly, tree-hugging, pro-choice Democrat any day.
* Teachers don't have a problem with drug testing. We just want to have it done fairly. Everyone should be tested, including school administrators, central office staff, board members and service personnel.
* A great big thinks to Dunbar's six council members that stood up for what is right during the long, and to them, costly battle to uphold the law. It's so very sad that two council members felt it easier to go along than oppose the mayor. I hope there is a way to prevent former Mayor Wolfe from running again.
* Oh, please, please, President-elect Obama, don't give us Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State. If we had wanted her to be in a position of power in the government we would have elected her the first time around.
* I see why Marshall University got rid of half their cheerleaders. There's nothing to cheer about at the university or Huntington. And the new Marco should really scare the heck out of little kids.
* I'm a 59-year old car salesman and still have a couple of years of eligibility left. Coach Snyder, I could throw for more yardage than your quarterback did.
* I challenge all Monday morning quarterbacks who feel they can coach WVU's football team more skillfully than Bill Stewart to step up to the plate and take the job.
* Why is everyone upset about the new look of Marco, Marshall University's mascot?
are you really a female?
