* The Marshall fans are the only ones with a problem with the blue bridge. Upset because the green versus blue vote didn't go their way. Like it our not, blue and gold are the West Virginia state colors. Deal with it.
* The only military decision more stupid than Bush's decision to invade Iraq was Hitler's decision to open a second front against the Soviet Union. Both decisions were stupendously stupid.
* I wish all West Virginians had the opportunity to read the Harry Bruner Jr. opinion piece "Mountaineers should reclaim their state" in the Aug. 20 Daily Mail. I don't know Bruner but admire his stand that "our history is not one of dependence on big government." Truly, "Montani Semper Liberi" or "Mountaineers are always free." I don't know how much longer this will be the case as big government is threatening our very way of life and needs to be seriously reined in. God bless Harry Bruner for stating the obvious.
* Bush's ranch in Crawford, Texas was set up for security and communications. Bush traveled with little more than a suitcase. Everything has to be set up and arranged each and every time Obama travels because he goes someplace different each trip.
* It's beginning to look like the same Constitution and Bill of Rights that has held this country together for 200 years is going to destroy it. Pretty bad when criminals, illegal immigrants and sworn enemies have more rights than law-abiding citizens.
* My road was formerly a federal highway and has not been paved or even patched for 19 years, but an out-of-state company has shown up every year to paint the edge and centerlines. Now they are so thick a toe can be stumped on them.
* Will terrorist attacks increase after we leave the Middle East? My money is on yes. That's what everybody wanted. That's what we're going to get. I love liberals.
* People think after the mosque is built in NYC we'll all sit around drinking Coca-Colas and singing in peaceful harmony. Boy, are they going to be in for a rude awakening.

* Every city police officer along U.S. 60 from Charleston city limits to Ansted needs to be fired - Chesapeake, Montgomery, Glasgow, Cedar Grove and Gauley Bridge. How many stories of wrongdoing do we have to hear about before something is done?
* One trillion dollars will be taken from the economy. Yet, Gov. Manchin endorses Obama and Obamacare? Nothing in Obamacare fixes the real problems with health delivery in this country.
* If a cop is found unworthy to wear one uniform, he certainly doesn't deserve the right to go to the next burg and go to work there harassing other people. Legislators need to have a backbone and pass legislation to stop this transfer of bad cops. The senior cops should not have the right to give a bad cop the option of resigning, or be fired. They naturally resign with a good record, and go somewhere else. Ban them from law enforcement in the entire state.
* I would bet money that not one of those gun crimes were committed by a permit holder. Law-abiding gun owners spend time and money to obtain their permits. Do you think a criminal will do that?
* You can't get the weather on the Weather Channel. You can't get the news on Fox or CNN. You can't watch a video on MTV. You can't get the ball scores on ESPN. Everyone is more concerned with how they appear and making more money appealing to the simpletons among us to remember why they're in business.
* Fox News says you can annoy a liberal with facts and logic. We'll never know, as Fox News employs neither in their usual propaganda.
* The Daily Mail article says that freshman at the notorious party school WVU will be required to take an alcohol-education course. But the real problem is that despite the fact the drinking age by law is 21, as a billboard campaign now publishes, the campus, state and local police do not enforce this law unless someone is driving. It is a policing problem.
* If you can't go anywhere that someone is not tailgating, you are driving too slow. Try getting off your phone and driving.
