  • The only way to let this economy get back is for the free market be free.
  • Elections have consequences. That is a quote form President Obama. The reason he was re-elected was that between 75 to 94 percent of minorities voted for him. If our economy improves, the president will take a bow. If the economy muddles along, who owns the economy then? The owners of that economy would be you, the voters that re-elected him.
  • Isn't it curious that every time we have a major storm that puts hundreds of thousands of customers out of service, AEP resurrects Don Poe, their public guru, to help you lower your electric bill?
  • Our country is decaying from within our borders - a huge national debt and a welfare state is crippling our very existence. We don't have to fear China, North Korea, Russia or Iran. It's our own government that is the enemy. The last election proves we don't give a damn.
  • For the person who said that Dana Holgorsen is trying to win with Bill Stewart's recruits: Remember that he won 10 games last season with all Stewart recruits, but now that he has added a class of his own, he is not going to win as many this time around.
  • Nov. 6 was a terrible day in the history of this country. It won't survive. Who will he blame for the last four years? You know it won't be Obama.
  • Nobody likes tax increases, but I have trouble understanding the GOP position.
  • Now that the election is over, hopefully we won't have to put up with any more political jokes - except for those that we just elected.
  • Four years downhill wasn't enough? You will witness the demise of our country as we know it. No one will recognize this country in 2016. Remember, the majority asked for it. As long as we have more takers than givers, our country doesn't stand a chance. Our enemies are really tickled, there will be more of 9/11. The rest of our country will look like the results of Sandy.
  • Oh no - Obama was reelected. He will take my guns and make all women get abortions and make Americans bow toward Mecca.
  • To paraphrase Dandy Don Meredith: "The tea party's over. . . . "
  • The president has won another four-year term in office. I hope he thinks about the country for a change and approves the Keystone pipeline.
  • The president is going to occupy the White House for another four years. How did he accomplish this? Abraham Lincoln said you can fool some of the people all the time and all the people part of the time, but you can't fool all the people all the time. This is proven untrue. In an election you just have to fool 50 percent of the people.
  • n President Obama mentioned creating a new post in his cabinet. The new post is the Department of Business. The best candidate has some spare time on his hands. You guessed it, Mitt Romney. Give Mitt the job and let him run with it.
  • The matter of Gov. Christie asking for help is one thing, but a slobbering love affair with the president to get federal aid was disgusting. As far as I am concerned, he is no longer a viable candidate for future political ambitions as president. He may have to change to a Democrat.
  • One thing we know for sure:  Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell is the south end of a northbound horse.
  • New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, after chopping Romney off at the knees after Superstorm Sandy, will be the GOP presidential candidate in 2016, opposed by Hillary Clinton. That will be a close race, and remember, you heard it here first.
  • The day after Obama's re-election, a union member and Obama supporter friend of mine was crying because his retirement plan did a nosedive because of falling stock market. Now that was comical.
  • Veteran's Day has passed. Now I have another year to be treated like a second-class citizen.
  • It seems like the Hurricane football players are acting like their players in the South Charleston vs. Hurricane playoff in 2010. That was when their actions began that caused South Charleston to be penalized so severely and barred from playing in state championships.
  • I think West Virginia should secede so we can have our own government.
  • It's a pretty sad state of affairs (pun intended) when you can't rely on the government to be truthful about anything or we are skeptical of everything they say. This is more like the U.S.S.R. every day.
