Your vents, Monday, Sept. 9
I back Obama on this decision. He said he was bringing our soldiers home. We've already lost so much in Iraq so why should we lose more to Syria and bring the chemical disease back here? I've got your back, Obama.
Doc Holliday builds Marshall's team up. It is exciting to watch. I think they will see less traffic headed north and more going in the direction of Huntington.
Putting the pressure on raising the minimum wage is an old union trick. It puts wage compression on higher-paying jobs and moves their pay rates up. Forget about it. These are entry-level jobs. Paying $15 an hour on them is preposterous.
To the lady who called Walmart about her prescription being left in her cart and someone answered and went out and got the prescription for her, you were lucky to get through to them at all. You must have called the pharmacy because the regular store number is always busy.
I'm 85 now. When I was 21, the old politicians in Washington sent me and my friends to Korea. Some of my friends didn't come home. We must stop them from war diplomacy. Watch how they vote and don't re-elect them.
Is the Blair House still open in Washington, D.C.?
The Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. was probably the greatest human being who ever walked the face of the earth since Jesus Christ. Amen.
I happen to like Morrisey, and I think he is doing a great job. And women, if you don't want to have a baby then don't get pregnant. It is just that simple!
If you talk about not liking West Virginia then why don't you just get out?
The Bible says, "Faith without works is dead."
Could someone please check the signal timing for the cross intersections of Court Street, Capitol Street and Kanawha Boulevard? We sat at a light for ten minutes. We finally went the other way.
When PBS does its quarterly fund drives, everything is a repeat. I'd feel more like contributing if they left regular programming on.
I think the new college rule about sitting out a play when you lose your helmet is nonsense. It makes no sense to me at all. Could someone please explain the logic behind this new rule?
I guess the mayor of Gauley Bridge is running South Charleston now. You can't drive through the city limits without the police having someone pulled over.
This is about the Union Public Service District in Cross Lanes. They came and checked it out when I had some sewer issues. They came immediately and they were wonderful. They were very kind, and they certainly took care of the problem. Thank you.
We have a bunch of three-ring binders. Does anyone know where we could donate them?
Thanks to the state, they fixed up 40th Street, and automobiles are now just flying through here at more than 80 mph. It is now like a super highway. We need Jack Jordan and two or three of his good cops back on here to slow these idiots down. Someone is going to get hurt or killed.
They outlawed dodge ball, saying it caused bodily injury, yet you can bounce a soccer ball off of your head. Duh.
