George Washington wins MSAC golf title
Tommy O'Neil shot a 1-over par 72 and Will Evans and Louis Roncaglione shot 73 and 74 respectively as George Washington won the Mountain State Athletic Conference Golf Championships at par 71 Big Bend Golf Course on Wednesday.
The George Washington team title and the individual championship by Parkersburg's Alan Cooke ended Hurricane's stranglehold on the MSAC event. Hurricane had won the team title the last four years, and a Redskin golfer had claimed individual medalist honors the last three tournaments. Parkersburg's Alan Cooke claimed medalist honors with a 70.
Hurricane's Logan Williams had the lowest score for his team with a 71, as did Cabell Midland's Brooke Bellomy.
